How to remove objects from a photo or image - LET’S CONNECT
If you draw pixels from an immediately adjacent area, you risk the viewer noticing the repetition. So take the pixels from somewhere else in the image instead. Inadvertently creating a pattern is an easy trap to fall into when using adjacent areas, but at the same time, using non-adjacent areas can be tricky.
The immediately adjacent areas are usually the closest in color and tone to the area you want to replace, and as you move farther away, tones and colors change so the pixels get harder to match. So work hard. Find a way to use pixels from somewhere else in your photo, especially when the adjacent pixels contain obvious patterns. The key is to just dive in. You can use a couple of different approaches:. There is a tendency to freeze up and to try to map out the entire clone job, step by step, before actually doing anything.
The Clone Source panel contains lots of adjustments you can make to your brush when cloning. Once in the panel, you can change the angle of the replacement pixels, you can give the tool an offset, and more. One of the most useful features in the Clone Source panel is the Flip Horizontal option:.
Click on this, and the pixels will be replaced in the opposite horizontal direction to the source. For example, in the crop below, I selected the road line on the right as my source, then cloned it off to the left.

Playing around with the opacity of the brush will also help. Always try to mix different clone sources and opacity settings to get the best result.
The edges of the clone stamp have to be as smooth as possible. Open the photo and duplicate the background layer. Now zoom in on the area with the skin imperfections you want to remove with the clone stamp. This is what makes this an excellent technique to remove skin imperfections. It allows you to target specific details that you want to remove. The clone stamp will now only affect areas of the skin that are darker than the clone source selection.
In this case, it will only affect the darker coloured mole and make it lighter to match the skin around it. The rest of the skin will stay untouched. I like this technique to remove wrinkles or spots on the skin. The result looks very natural. With the new layer active, click the lock position button at the top of the Layers panel to keep the new layer aligned with the Background layer.
Define a sample area, and brush new detail over the object With the Clone Stamp tool selected, Alt-click Windows or Option-click MacOS an area of detail to set the sample point. A preview inside the Clone Stamp pointer shows the detail you will use for the retouching. The preview is useful for aligning sampled detail with other parts of the image. Brush over the area where you want to add the sampled detail to cover an object.
As you work, a crosshair indicates where the detail is copied from.
